Well, that was our trip in a nut shell. We saw so many things and did so many things that I think I am going to be worn out for the rest of the month! So, if you would like to see the rest of our 700 pictures, you are going to have to come visit us because there is no way I will upload that many. Anyway, we had a blast!

Summer lovin' had me a blast

Tyler and I went on quite the road trip in July. We were flown out to New Jersey to pick up a refrigerated truck. Why? I wish there was a good reason, but there is not. Adventure maybe?
Anyway, we picked up the truck and drove up to Boston to see Mandy, Nate and the girls. We drove all night....5mph through the entire state of Connecticut because of construction. When we finally made it to Boston, everyone was asleep except for Mandy who made us the most delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. Tyler went to grab something out of the truck and he came back with the news that we had NO keys that unlocked the doors. The only key we were given only started the beast. Silly us! We didn't know that, so we had locked the truck doors. Now we are locked out of the truck and exhausted. We decided to worry about it in the morning.
Morning came, and so did Mandy's awesome host abilities. Breakfast and entertainment! After breakfast Tyler and I went to break into the truck. We tried everything; wire coat hangers, knives, rocks, and elbow grease. We called lock smiths who wanted over $100. We didn't know what we were going to do because we needed to be in Indiana that night! (that did not happen). Tyler worked tirelessly and voila! It finally came unlocked(dun dun dun...) but the door was now broken. It was broken shut!! One more door to try, we were all praying that something good might happen. And it did! Only 8 hours behind schedule, we jumped in the truck and headed to Indiana.
Notice the bug splatter on the windshield? That pretty much summed up the whole trip.

Anyway, the camera broke so we didn't get anymore pictures. But let me jot down the major points
  • Stopped in Lock Haven, PA and gave Tyler the Midnight Tour
  • Slept in the truck (well, i guess tried to sleep is more like it)
  • Stopped in Indiana to see the Smiths
  • Kidnapped Madison and road tripped with her back to Pocatello
  • 2am run in with mom in Salt Lake to retrieve Ramona and kept on driving to get Tyler to work that morning.
  • Made it home at 6:30am
  • Tyler went to work at 8
  • Oh, and tons of car trouble

Was I glad to be home!!

Anyway, we got home and we realized why I had to stop so many times for bathroom breaks!

My eggo is prego!
I think they call this the miracle of life because it is a miracle I am still alive!
Who knew the effects of pregnancy? Not me, that's for sure! I thought, you were either on your death bed like Ana, or just so overcome with happiness and a healthy glow. I thought the healthy glow sounded nice.... Maybe one day I will get to that stage. Hopefully the nausea will go away too.

Where will this newcomer live? In our 750 square foot home, we are tight on space already. so good bye movie watching loft! Hello nursery!

After we demolished everything we hated...

We are not even half way yet, but this is what it looks like now

And Ramona was taking a nap in the window and she looked so adorable, I thought I would share that with you too.

Summer Projects! The shed...

The best part of having our house is the fun projects we get to do! This summer has been dedictated to chores and fixing everything up.
To start things off, we doubled our square footage by building a shed! It took us a little over a week because it wouldn't stop raining! So every dry chance we got, we were out there.
Step one: The base

Step 2: Painting
Step 3: Play with Ramona
VOILA! Here is our completed shed! Notice the beautiful garden off to the side? It is behind the bright orange lily.

Our next projects include remodeling the loft, finishing the bathroom and hopefully refinish the wood floors downstairs! We'll keep you guys updated!

Baby Let's Cruise Away From Here....

Our Puebla, Mexico trip we had planned got cancelled due to Swine Flu! We were pretty disapointed, but we still had a week off to play, so we went on a cruise instead. The cruise was rerouted to Canada so it was a dirt cheap vacation. We had two stops one in Victoria and one in Vancouver. It sure was one of the best 7 day vacations ever! Here are some pictures of our trip...

Here is our room!

This is our dream house in the swamp

These suspension bridges were all in the tree tops, it was pretty nifty.

This is Tyler enjoying the views on the big suspension bridge over the river.

Here I am hanging on for dear life! That bridge sure was wobbly!

Where's Waldo??? I mean Tyler...Can you spot him??

Last Day of School

These are what I call honey-nut petit fours. I invented them for my final project. They have layers of almond genoise, honey glaze, raisen granola, more honey glaze and topped with marzipan and a fondant glaze. The bumble bees on top are all made out of marzipan too, but they have almond slices as the wings. I think they turned out pretty well. And it was definatly more fun to invent and play around my last days of school than making something I already know how. Oh, I got an A on these little suckers too.
These are the girls I went through school with. We sure had a great time messing around in the kitchen. We got to know each other pretty well after 2 years of everyday all day classes together. It was sad to say goodbye. From left too right: Kayla Demell, Lynae Bennett, Rachel Nelson, Kimberlee Allen, Carrie Millward(me).
This is a picture of all of our Final Project petit fours. They were all pretty delish.
Well, that's about it for school. I still lack one more week of internships and general classes this summer but then I will be all done! Almost there!!!
